Challenge
Lana built her business the hard way. No ads, no funnel, just word of mouth and a steady hand. Clients trusted her enough to bring their friends. That works, until it doesn’t.
Word of mouth has a ceiling. Lana hit it. Search her name and there was barely anything to find, no real website, no clear list of services, a Google Business Profile doing nothing for her. In a market as crowded as NYC, invisible online means invisible to everyone outside her existing circle.
Her clients are bilingual too, English and Russian. A site built for only one language cuts off half the people who’d choose her.

- No real website
- No clear service structure
- No positioning explaining why to pick her over the next salon
- Growth capped at the size of her referral network
- No site built for her bilingual client base
Solution
Phase 1: Competitive Advantage
Before touching design or copy, we figured out why Lana wins. Not generic “great service,” the actual thing that makes someone choose her and stay loyal. We defined who that person is, what they’re nervous about before letting someone work on their face, and what convinces them to trust her over a stranger with better ads.
- Identified what makes Lana worth choosing over other cosmetologists in her area
- Defined her ideal client, not “anyone with skin,” the specific person who values her approach
- Mapped the questions that client asks before booking
- This became the backbone of every word on the site
Phase 2: Build Your Website
The site had to do in seconds what word of mouth used to do over months, earn trust with a stranger. Every page answers the questions we mapped in Phase 1. Every path to booking is one tap away.
Dual-language website, English and Russian
Visitors switch languages instantly, no confusion, no broken UX. The site includes:
- Clear service pages so both users and Google understand what Lana offers
- Trust-building content built around her actual experience and credentials
- Click-to-call, click-to-text, and a contact form on every page
On mobile, that last part matters most. Nothing slows someone down when they’re ready to book.
Conversion-focused structure
This was not built as a pretty brochure. It was structured to answer the questions we identified in Phase 1. Services are grouped clearly, content is scannable, calls to action are consistent.

Google Business Profile
We built Lana’s profile from scratch: correct category and service setup, an optimized description, photos aligned with her branding, accurate contact and location details. Search Console was set up alongside it so results can be tracked going forward.
Results
From March to August 2026, Lana’s Google Business Profile logged 1.9K views, 101 searches, and 279 direct interactions, calls, messages, and direction requests combined.
A professional bilingual website that supports both English and Russian searches. Clear service visibility. One-click calling and texting from every page. A Google Business Profile that reinforces trust the moment someone searches her name.
Her online presence now matches the quality of her real-world work.

Why this worked
The strategy came first. Always.
Website and Google were built on research, not guesswork. Language was treated as a growth lever, not an afterthought. Conversion was prioritized over decoration.
Lana didn’t need more talent or better services. She needed a clear answer to “why her” and a website built to say it. That’s what the Competitive Advantage phase gave her, and it’s why the build worked.
